Summary []
Izumo Kunisaki, a descendant of Izumo no Okuni, is often mistaken as a girl. It is the bane of his existence. His father and best-friend (a.k.a. the girl he likes) often laugh about it. To top it off, he plays the girl roles in his family's Kabuki troupe. In this short, he discovers that that curse is also his greatest source strength and will prove just how much of a man he is.
Plot[]
A 15 year old male, Kunisaki Izumo, is usually mistaken as a girl by boys. Izumo is the 17th generation Kabuki player in the Kunisaki household. He wears female clothing and is given female roles in the kabuki plays. 8 years ago, after one of his kabuki plays, during a party, his friend, Yuzuha, says, " But Ikkun, you always get the female roles, right? You dont perform male roles"? Izumo was first confused of what she said, but finally realized his father was making fun of him. Then, Izumo's mother took him somewhere else to raise him, since his father was giving him only female roles and not male roles, not considering what Izumo wants himself. Izumo decided to live with his mother by saying his answer like so to his father: "See you then, you perverted asshole".
During school, guys would always stare at Izumo and jump out to say, "Be our girlfriend!" or "become our cheerleader!" and so on. But Izumo always snaps at them and start beating them up. One day, when he came back he found a note on the table from his mother. It said that she went on a trip with a friend and might be back home in a year or so and he should live with his dad for a year. Izumo then goes to his father's place and meets a kabuki player named, Suyuragi Kagato, a boy that is also given female roles in kabuki and the Kunisaki's son-in-law. He became sick and couldn't do the play, so Izumo wanted to help him and had to do his female role for him, even though he didn't want to do the female role. At the end of the play, the crowds happily applaused for Izumo, remembering who he was from 8 years ago. Izumo then felt the same feeling he felt 8 years ago and happily smiled.
Izumo later goes to Yuzuha's school. The school seems to have good-looking people and celebrities. He panicked when he saw people with sparkling auras around them. Then he soon meets Sae Togashiki, who also mistakes Izumo as a girl. Izumo finds him annoying and even threw a trash can on him because Sae threw away the cookies that a girl, who is his fan, gave him. Then they soon do a kabuki play together.
